“I believe people should have a choice, that judges shouldn’t pick who can be elected officials,” Kuczynski said. “The fact that there was no competition, that it is not a democratic process when there is no choice makes it (the choice to run) simple. All I can say is that in Saratoga Springs, we know what long shots can do.”
The Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee has chosen Hank Kuczynski as our write-in candidate for the upcoming Public Works Commissioner election on January 28. See inside for web link and ActBlue donation page.
An election will be held on January 28 to choose a DPW Commissioner for the remainder of the current term, which runs through December 31, 2025. A ballot has been produced with no Democratic candidate, so we will have a special meeting of the Saratoga Springs democratic Committee on January 4 to identify and hopefully endorse a write in candidate.
At its November 19 meeting, the Saratoga Springs City Council officially approved the 2025 Proposed Budget of $62.6 million. The budget passed in a 4-1 vote, with Public Safety Commissioner Tim Coll the one to vote against it.
Dems swept Saratoga Springs races, including Prop 1 and our strong State Senate and County Treasurer candidates who did not prevail in Saratoga County overall. Thanks to hardworking committee members and volunteers!
