The November election promises to be one of the most contentious in our nation’s history, with Republican incumbents threatening to fight voting by mail (which President Trump says is “bad for Republicans”) and eliminate polling places in areas that are home to Democratic voters, especially voters of color. Luckily we have our election inspectors. These folks help our elections run smoothly and efficiently, but increasingly they are also the front-line defense against a national trend of GOP voter suppression.
