Marshall: “The people who do business with the city want to do business with me.”

Chuck Marshall
Chuck Marshall celebrates fundraising success.
[Public Works Commissioner Chuck] Marshall, since his Jan. 25 special election for commissioner, has raised $36,192.50. That’s not counting what the Republican had left over from this first campaign, during which he raised $47,915.65 in just three months. And much of Marshall’s money came from real estate firms, developers and fellow Republicans. “The people who do business with the city want to do business with me,” Marshall, a civil engineer and the director of real estate for the Stewart’s Corporation, said.

[Marshall] received $1,000 for a variety of other political campaigns, including Elise (Stefanik) for Congress, Heidi (West) for Mayor and Friends of Kathy Marchione as well as a $1,000 from Upstate Conservative Coalition Vice President David Buchyn.

[Keramati] said Marshall is getting the bulk of that class of contributors because “Republicans will do anything developers want.” He said he’s already concerned about the level of development in the city, which he says is “becoming more and more a city for the rich.” Keramati said he is more focused on helping the average person move projects through the city planning department and boards with “more efficacy and efficiency.”  More in the Times-Union.

BK Keramati is our endorsed candidate for Commissioner of Public Works. He is committed to making Saratoga work for all Saratogians… not just developers and MAGA political interests.
