Gov. Cuomo announces Race Course will open at near-full capacity.

Waiting for an excuse to get your COVID-19 vaccine? Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced this week that fully vaccinated fans will be allowed to attend the 2021 summer meet in reserved sections, including the backyard picnic area, with no social distancing required. Non-vaccinated attendees will be limited to a small number of hospitality and seating areas where they are required to observe social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering at all times during their day at Saratoga Race Course. Additionally, fully vaccinated fans will receive free grandstand admission on opening day, July 15, upon submission of an Excelsior Pass or other proof of COVID-19 vaccination status. Fans can also present alternate forms of proof of vaccination, including paper form such as their CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card, to redeem the free admission. Visitors to the Saratoga Race Course who are under the age of 16 years old will be allowed to accompany fully vaccinated adults anywhere throughout the track. If not accompanying a fully vaccinated adult, they will be required to stay within the non-vaccinated areas.
