Following the recommendation of a search committee chaired by former Commissioner John Franck, on May 3 the Saratoga Springs City Council officially appointed Jason Golub to succeed the late Anthony ‘Skip’ Scirocco as the Department of Public Works commissioner.
The ruling does only affects races in congressional districts and State Senate districts which were redrawn. Thanks to all who volunteered their time to carry petitions for the candidates. We'll update when we know what additional petitioning might be required.

On Monday, April 18, the City of Saratoga Springs broke ground on the downtown portion of the Saratoga Greenbelt Trail. The 10-foot-wide shared-use ADA-accessible paved path along High Rock and Excelsior Avenue will extend from the intersection of Lake and High Rock Avenues to the existing Exit 15 trail end on Excelsior Avenue.
