From the group’s Facebook page: “Over the course of the last 12 months the PBA has noticed an increased amount of overtly negative, personal and frankly, vile attacks from the Saratoga County Republican Committee’s Facebook page, a page run by Chairman Joseph Suhrada, these attacks have been slanderous, overtly negative and show that Mr. Suhrada lacks respect, integrity and destroys the credibility of the position of chairman.
“Yesterday, Mr. Suhrada falsely accused former PBA President Ryan Mahan of intentionally placing political signs along a funeral precession route. Then falsely stated our on duty members removed said political signs. Our members did no such thing, were never ordered to and would never be ordered to do so. Secondly, politicizing a funeral is just disgusting.
“Over the past months Joe Suhrada has shown a lack of respect for our membership, and anyone that dares disagree with him, he is willing to create false stories and his behavior raises concerns for not only his judgement but his mental well being.
“Joe Suhrada uses his time as a Saratoga County employee to post on behalf of the Republican Committee, essentially double dipping as he’s paid by both. Suhrada has a history of anti-police rants, openly advocates against our membership, uses name calling and fear mongering to communicate while blocking anyone that challenges his opinion. That is not leadership. Therefore, we are calling for his removal or resignation as Chairman of the Saratoga County Republican Committee.” Note: Mr. Suhrada is also the Republican Commissioner of the Board of Elections in Saratoga County.
