Outdoor dining set to continue in Saratoga Springs.

The sidewalk seating, which gave restaurants a shot in the arm during the COVID-19 pandemic as a potentially safer environment, appears poised to be expanded under a plan by Commissioner of Accounts Dillon Moran as reported in the Daily Gazette. Moran is puursing a proposed local law that would extend outdoor dining for the next three years, and also prohibit vehicle traffic on certain downtown streets with restaurants on weekends during the sping and summer. The plan, which Moran says has majority support from the new City Council, is expected to be reviewed in upcoming public hearings.
