On Wednesday, June 1, Mayor Ron Kim, Finance Commissioner Minita Sanghvi, Supervisor Tara Gaston and other elected officials joined Saratoga Pride and friends for a PRIDE flag raising at Saratoga Springs City Hall. Sanghvi, the city’s first openly gay elected commissioner, said “these pride flags flying on Broadway give hope to our young and old, to our families and friends. These flags at city hall tells our community, you are not alone. We see you, we celebrate you.” Saratoga Pride has planned a busy month of activities, from softball games to drag brunches, culminating with a festival in High Rock Park on June 26.
