Mayor shares memo updating AG investigation.

Mayor Ron Kim shared a memo at the Dec. 19 City Council meeting that was sent to his fellow council members as well as incoming Mayor and Public Safety Commissioner, John Safford and Tim Cole, respectively. This operated as a preview to some of the components that were sure to be included in Attorney General Letitia James’s investigation regarding alleged civil rights violations by Saratoga Springs city leaders and police officers. The investigation has been going on since November 2021, regarding how protests were handled by city officials and police following George Floyd’s death in May 2020 and actions that preceded that into 2021. From the Saratogian; this is a subscriber-only article but you can read the memorandum here.
