SSDC Chair calls for Cuomo to resign.

Statement from Pat Tuz, Chair of the Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee: “Governor Cuomo asked for an investigation of claims of misconduct by the office of the Attorney General of New York. That investigation has now concluded and found that Governor Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women, among them nine current and former employees, in violation of state and federal law. There is no room for this behavior in any workplace and we believe Governor Cuomo should resign. Our hearts are with the 11 brave women who came forward to share their experiences.” s…

First Row A “Listening Session” a success.

On Thursday night, July 29, the candidates on the Democratic Row A of the ballot hosted a virtual listening session to hear from voters and express their own views on the issues. Close to 100 attended via Zoom or Facebook Live for the 90 minute session. The focus of tonight’s session was public safety (key points made by candidates: a Citizen’s Review Board is not consistent with good policing, and listening to all community members does not mean defiunding the police) but the discussion extended into environmental policy, how to support at-risk populations and more.

Domenique Yermolayev campaigns for DPW on platform of efficiency and transparency.

At her campaign kickoff event on June 22, the Row A candidate for Commissioner of Public Works announced that her primary goals are scheduled services (more exact windows of dates for hydrant flushing, leaf pickup, etc), a technology-based communications solution between DPW and residents and unified sidewalk ordinance/code reform. “There needs to be an attitude of customer service,” she said according to the Foothill Business Daily.
