During the Jan. 18 City Council meeting, Saratoga Springs Mayor Ron Kim unveiled a reorganization plan for legal services that he said will save the city up to $70,000 a year without compromising the quality of its services, as reported in the Daily Gazette.
At its first meeting on Tuesday, January 4, the newly-elected council voted unanimously to ask Saratoga County District Attorney Karen Heggen to call for a noncriminal grand jury investigation into the 2014 death of Darryl Mount Jr., the 21-year-old biracial man who died nine months after city police pursued him on foot.
